About This Route
This 3-day private tour takes you from Fes to Marrakech through Morocco's most iconic landscapes. Itinerary Day by Day
Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga Desert
You will be picked up at 08:00 in Fes by your Morocco Happiness Tours guide and start the journey to Merzouga. Drive through Ifrane and visit the Cedar Forest of Azrou where you can see the Barbary apes. Continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains passing forests, springs, and Berber villages. Stop for lunch in Midelt, then cross the Atlas Mountains and descend toward the Sahara Desert. In the afternoon, arrive at the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. A camel guide will take you on a one-hour camel ride to your campsite in time for sunset. Enjoy dinner at the camp, a campfire with Berber music, and spend the night in a traditional Berber tent under the stars.
Merzouga – Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Wake up early to enjoy the magical light before sunrise over the dunes. Meet your tour guide and continue toward the Valley of Dades. Travel to Tinghir where you will stop for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the spectacular Todra Gorges, stopping along the way for photos and admiring the canyon views. Wander on foot through the impressive gorge with walls rising dramatically above. At the end of the day, drive to the Valley of Dades where you will have dinner and spend the night at the hotel.
Dades Valley – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
After breakfast, depart for Marrakech, first passing through the Valley of Roses. Continue to Ouarzazate — known as the Hollywood of Africa — via the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, with interesting stops for sights and photos. Visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and famous filming location for international movies and shows. Afterwards, continue through the majestic Tizi n'Tichka pass at 2,260m in the High Atlas Mountains. Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon where your tour ends.
