1 Day : Activity Atlas Mountains Hot Air Balloon Ride from Marrakech

A must-see for Marrakech visitors, this morning excursion will take you over the foothills of the Atlas Mountains of Morocco during a hot air balloon ride at sunrise. Land for a freshly prepared Berber breakfast, followed by a camel ride in the desert of palm trees, then return to Marrakech by 4x4. A flight certificate is included as a souvenir of your experience.

Start your experience with early morning 4x4 pick up at your hotel in Marrakech and head to the starting point for your sunrise balloon flight. Enjoy refreshments, including pastries, coffee and tea while watching your expert crew inflate the hot air balloon.

Then put yourself in the basket and fly away! Each basket can accommodate a maximum of 16 people and you have ample opportunity to make comfortable visits as you move away. Soak up the serene desert landscape as your pilot takes you over the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains on a 40 to 50 minute flight (depending on wind and weather conditions).

After landing at the base camp, sit in a tent overlooking the mountains to enjoy a freshly prepared Berber breakfast, including pancakes, corn bread, fruit, olives and mint tea. Follow your breakfast with a camel ride in the desert village of Palmeraie surrounding the camp.

Before leaving, a flight certificate will be presented to commemorate your hot air balloon experience in Marrakech. Then return to your hotel in the late morning 4x4 vehicle to enjoy the rest of the day in Marrakech.
