You will be picked up in the morning from your accommodation and we start by travelling through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n-Tichka pass (2260m), the highest road pass in Morocco. Our tour takes us towards Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Africa. We offer a stop in the Studio Atlas which is the biggest filming studio in Morocco. Next we’ll drive along “the Road of One Thousand Kasbahs” passing the Skoura Oasis and the Valley of the Roses (Kelaa M'Gouna), the capital of roses in Morocco. During this drive we will pass many beautiful spots to take pictures and/or enjoy the views. Each place has its own magic. Spend the afternoon in Dades, visiting enchanting gorges and canyon viewpoints. Overnight in the heart of the Dades Gorge in a hotel or riad with dinner and breakfast.
Depart after breakfast and travel to another spectacular canyon the Todra Gorge. Its walls are more than 300m high and at their most narrow part 20m apart. From Todra Gore we will go to Erfoud which is the center of dates and fossils. We will move on to Merzouga, the beautiful sand dunes of the Sahara Desert. In the afternoon, your camel guide awaits you to carry you across the golden dunes of the Moroccan Sahara to your desert camp site, where you can watch the sun set across the desert landscape. Reach your desert camp for the night and enjoy refreshing mint tea and a delicious dinner. Spend your night at a campfire with Berber music under millions of stars in traditional nomadic fashion.
You should wake up early and look at the magic lights before the sunrise. Once you are out of the sand dunes, you’ll meet your tour guide again and we’ll continue our tour. Our happiness tour continues by passing through the ancient city of Rissani. We continue to drive through the Sarhro volcanic mountains featuring striking rock formations and panoramic views including Draa Valley, the largest oasis in Morocco passing the High Atlas Mountains. In the afternoon we‘ll arrive in Ait Benhaddou where we will enjoy dinner and stay for the night.
In the morning we start by visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Ait-Ben-Haddou, in Ouarzazate province. It is a striking example of the architecture of southern Morocco with a well-preserved fortress city that has provided inspiration and filming locations with the biggest studios inviting many international companies to work in Ouatzazate. On our way to Marrakech we will visit the Kasbah of Telouet, once the seat of Pasha El Glaoui of Marrakech
