Itinerary Day by Day
Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Agdez - Zagora
Your tour starts at 8:00 AM with pickup from your riad or hotel in Marrakech in a comfortable air-conditioned 4x4 vehicle or minivan. Leave Marrakech and travel southeast through small villages before reaching the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n'Tichka pass at 2160 meters. Enjoy changing landscapes, Berber villages, and mountain views along the way. Continue to Ouarzazate and stop to see the beautiful Kasbah of Taourirt, once home to the former Caid Pacha Glaoui. Afterward, drive through scenic valleys to Agdez and enjoy panoramic views over the palm groves. Continue to Zagora, where camels will take you toward the desert camp in time for sunset. At the camp, enjoy mint tea, dinner, music, dancing around the fire, and a peaceful night in the desert.

Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over Zagora desert, followed by breakfast at the camp. Leave Zagora and travel back through the beautiful Draa Valley toward Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its traditional architecture and as a filming location for movies such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and scenes from Game of Thrones. After lunch and a visit, continue through the Tizi n'Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech, arriving in the evening.
